Planning:
Website Development Quote:
The first thing that you want to do before you start the gears in motion is to think about what you want your new website to be about and what functionality your website is going to have. The functionality of the website is very important in the planning stage and covers things such as is your website selling anything, is there going to be visitor interactivity, and so on.
When you have thought about all of these things, write them down to make sure you don’t forget anything and request your free quote.
Analysis of Needs:
Once we have received the information you submitted for your free quote, we will look the information over to determine what your needs are for your website. We may need to contact you to get a better understanding of your needs before we give you your free quote.
Contract:
Once we have come to an agreement on the details of the project, price, and timeline for project completion, we will prepare a contract for the design and development of your website. Once the contract has been prepared, we will mail it out, or hand deliver it to you where you will review, sign, and return with the initial deposit.
Deposit:
Once you have reviewed and signed the contract, an initial deposit of 40% is required when returned. The remainder of your balance will be due upon completion of the project. Once we have received the signed contract with the deposit, we will return a copy of the fully executed contract along with a receipt for the deposit.
Design/Revision of Your Website:
Domain Name Registration/Hosting:
After we receive the contract and deposit, we will secure the domain name for your website and start the hosting services for your website if needed.
Designing Begins:
Upon the receipt of the contract and deposit, the designing of your new website begins. The person who is designing and developing your site will contact you in regards to the information that is needed to start the design of your site.
Before any designing begins, you need to have some information ready for the designer otherwise the design process will be delayed. The information you should have ready are the number and names of the subpages (home, about us, contact us, etc), the links that you would like on your pages, the content of your pages (text written out for the body of the page), company logo if applicable, and pictures. If there are any color schemes, styles, or sites that you would like us to reference to, please give us this information at this time as well.
All of this information is needed before the design of your site can begin!
Design Concepts/Revisions:
After all of the initial information needed to start design is collected, we will create three (3) website concepts for your choosing. You can pick one design or a combination of the designs. You are allowed two (2) major design revisions of the design that you pick. After the revisions have taken place, if needed, the final tweaking of the design will take place.
We will keep you updated with current changes and progress of your design via email and we will give you access to view these changes at any time over a direct, secure, connection to our servers.
Professional Photography:
If needed, we have a contract with a professional photographer that can shoot photographs for your site if needed. This services would be discussed and be part of the contract prior to the design stage.
Website Develpment:
Programming:
At this stage of the development of your site, we will convert the final design of your website to HTML which is the programming language of the internet. Depending on the needs of your site and what was agreed upon in the contract, all of the programming for your site will take place at this time including CSS, PHP, ect…
Site Content:
All of your content that is intended to be placed up on the site is now added to the site which includes your homepage and any subpages. Pictures and logos will be included as well. Custom logos can be created upon request.
Site Map
The creation of your site map will be completed with access to all of your sites pages.
Testing:
Testing of Site's Functionality:
The testing stage is where we will inspect your website for grammar and spelling errors, check for dead links, test all forums, blogs, and forms, and browser compatibility.
Website Launch:
Final Payment:
The final payment is due before we launch your website and make it live. Once final payment has been received, you will receive a receipt for the final payment.
Website Launch:
All of the necessary files are transferred over to your domain and your site becomes live. We will test for errors on your website once it becomes live and make sure everything is working properly.
Documentation:
You will receive any documentation needed for your website such as administration usernames and passwords, a zipped archive of all of your files that pertain to your website, etc…
Search Engine Submission:
Once the website is launched, we will hand submit your website to search engines such as Google and Yahoo. We do NOT guarantee where your website will be located on the search results of any search engine.
